For all the food lovers among us there’s an event coming up that you won’t want to miss! The 2nd Annual Taste of the Inlet is taking place on January 26, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Inlet Square Mall in Murrells Inlet. Taste of the Inlet is part of Murrells Inlet 2020.
There will be more than 25 restaurants from Murrells Inlet and Garden City Beach participating in this supreme culinary competition where local restaurants and chefs will be showcasing their signature dishes. You won’t want to miss the delicious feast of hors d’oeuvres, tapas and scrumptious appetizers that you’ll be able to sample. Don’t forget to vote on your favorite dishes! Trophies will be given out to the restaurants with the most votes.
Tickets go on sale beginning January 6. Proceeds from the event benefit Murrells Inlet 2020, a 501c3 non-profit community revitalization organization, dedicated to making the Inlet a great place to live, work and visit.
This was a popular event last year with 27 restaurants participating. The 1st place winner went to Drunken Jacks. 2nd place was Inlet Affairs and 3rd place went to Bliss. It was a family friendly event attended by many.
